So…you’ve decided to buy a sauna. You’ve checked them out online, and think, “Okay, I’ll head down to the local home show/garden show/fair and buy one.”
With summer comes a lot of fairs, and many of them rent booth space out to folks selling saunas. Before you plunk down a chunk of money at a fair booth, make sure the company is a reputable one.
KIRO-TV in Seattle ran a piece in April regarding a sauna “company” selling at various fairs and home shows. It turns out the company wasn’t licensed to do business in the State of Washington—which some consumers found out the hard way. The company went by the names “Saunas Today” and “Red Heat Consultants”. It turns out they have an “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau, based on numerous complaints with saunas not being delivered after money was taken. They weren’t even licensed to business in the state. The complete story is available on KIRO’s website.
“Buyer Beware” has never been more accurate!
If you’re ready to buy a sauna, we want to offer up a few reasons to buy from Oregon Hot Tub:

- Oregon Hot Tub has been a fixture in the Greater Portland area for nearly 30 years.

The reasons we list may sound simple—but they can disappear when you’re munching on kettle corn listening to a fast talking “sauna guy” trying to take your money at a fair.
